A few more snippets from our recent vacation:
First a video of little Rachel playing pat-a-cake with her great grandma. They were really cute together:

Here we are on Tuesday night enjoying an Arkansas Travler's game in Little Rock:
It was a fun game, but a little somber since it was the first game since two nights earlier when the first base coach was hit in the head with a ball and killed. Scary! Back in Utah, here is our new bedroom. I painted the walls with a bucket of paint salvaged from the county landfill, the headboard we found for $5 in the scratch-and-dent section at RC Willey, and Tori picked out the new bedspread. Pretty spiffy!!:

We are back from vacation. We had a fun time visiting Arkansas, but it is nice to be back home and getting back to normal after a month of traveling. Tori and Rachel left for Arkansas on the 11th of July, and I flew out to join them last Friday. To fly to Little Rock as cheaply as possible, I flew via Phoenix, Oklahoma City and Dallas, where I had a long layover and time to explore the city a bit:

Downtown Dallas:

JFK was killed in Dallas in 1963. This is the building that his shooter was hiding in. There is a museum on the sixth floor now:

And this is the spot in Dealy Plaza that his motorcade was passing through when he was killed:
On Saturday, we had lunch at the Conway Fish House. We decided to let Rachel taste a pickle and a lemon to see what her reaction would be. We were surprised that she loved them both:
On Saturday night, we walked across a new pedestrian bridge over the Arkansas river. Someone near the shore had caught these giant catfish:
Rachel fell asleep in her stroller on our walk:It's hard to see in this picture, but this is the bridge we walked across. It is lit up at night with colored lights that change colors. It was pretty cool looking:
Rachel playing in and Old Navy bag at Aunt Dawn's house:
This is Rachel with her Great Grandma Rachel Edgmon, for whom she was named:
Near Grandma Rachel's house in Damascus, we found this self-service honey stand. It worked on the honor system. You just put your money in a box and took what you'd payed for:

4th of July / Arizona Trip

We have had a fun, but very busy past week.

Mae, Jason, Robyn, Aaron and kids came down for the 4th of July in Clearfield. We went to the parade, swam in the pool and watched fireworks. Rachel went with Daddy to save us a spot along the parade route:
On the 5th, Rachel, Mommy, Mae, Jason and kids drove to Arizona where David and Tiffany were blessing baby David. Daddy flew down on Friday to join them. Yesterday, we all drove back together. Rachel did really well for the first 11 hours in the car, but by the time we were almost home, she was getting really upset, so we let her have a piece of licorice. By the time we finally got home, this is how she looked:
Tomorrow, Rachel and Tori are flying to Arkansas to see Grandma and Grandpa Edgemon. Daddy will be joining them next week. Tori spent the day getting ready for her next big trip, and while she was cleaning the fridge, Rachel found a new place to play:
