Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Plastic Skull
So last night we saw the new Indiana Jones film. We got to go to a special showing with one of the engineering firms that I work with because they were celebrating their 25th Anniversary. We thought that the movie was pretty good. The storyline felt contrived, but it is an Indiana Jones movie, so you get what you pay for: lots of chasing, shooting, swinging from ropes, people getting eaten by jungle insects, etc. (Plus a bonus lesson on how you can survive a nuclear blast by hiding inside a refrigerator.) My only gripe was that the actual 'Crystal Skull' literally looked a ball of Saran Wrap. They could have purchased a better looking prop for the film at Wal-Mart.
Anyway, it was a good movie, and I'd reccomend you see it.

Marathon Mania!!!
We did it!!! We all finished our half marathon last week-end! This is my sister Dawn and I just about to cross the finish line. The drums were playing. My family was cheering. It was awesome! My sister-in-law Melinda finished about 12 minutes ahead of us.
We certainly didn't get first, second, or third, but I will so treasure my medal. I worked hard for it. Plus, it is cute!

We planeted our garden yesterday. We found some people in Grandma and Grandpa's ward that are going on a mission and are letting us use some of their land to grow some things. We planted potatoes, corn, tomatoes, peppers, onions, squash, carrots, brussel sprouts and cilantro.
Rachel "helping" Grandma plant the potatoes: (Yikes!!! Daddy needs to get some sun on those legs.)
How things looked when we were done:
Hopefully we'll start to see some things sprouting soon.

They're at it again!!!
You may recall this post from last November about how American Airlines are the worst people on our planet. Well, this morning I got an email alert from Discover Card that a large purchase had posted to our account.
It seems that the hillbillies in their accounting department have decided to charge us for the awful flight again, six months later. The good news is that Discover is treating it as a fraudulent charge and will take care of it for us. This is good for everyone because if I had to speak to one of AA's customer "service" agents again, I probably would have hunted him down and killed him.
Consider yourself warned:
Never, never, never, ever, ever, ever, ever fly American Airlines!!! Never. Seriously- Never.
