Which is more nutrient dense or healthy? Nonfat Fiber One Yogurt or Great Value nonfat Yogurt? The winner is. . .Great Value. The Great Value brand is made with aspartame which isn't the best ingredient, but it is not in the top five ingredients meaning it is not very prevalent in the yogurt. In the Fiber One brand, the second ingredient is high fructose corn syrup. I know you've seen the commercials promoting this product. Try to tell your kidneys and gallbladder that it isn't so bad, and get back to me. Now, the Fiber One has 10 less calories, but you're eating less yogurt, so it balances out with the Great Value. FYI for other nutritional facts: Great Value is higher in vitamin C and Calcium. It is also higher in sodium, but if you compare the serving sizes, the two are just about the same.
That is your health alert for today. Now, go buy some Great Value Yogurt. (Actually, after completing a project for class, the Weight Watcher's yogurt brand is the most nutrient dense or healthiest.)
