Bad Ideas

Equals=Bad Idea

So, I decided that I would take Rachel out today for a bike ride. It would be great exercise for me, and Rachel could enjoy the sun. As we were getting our shoes and preparing to leave, she decided that she wanted to bring along a "baby." I knew that it would be a bad idea, but I thought she would like it. I picked the smallest one that could fit right next to her in her seat. Off we went with the baby doll. The first 20 minutes were fun. Then, just as I finished a nice climb up a rather steep hill I hear, "Mommy, I think I dropped my baby." Sure enough, at the bottom of the hill on the railroad tracks lay her "baby". Back down the hill we go. After getting run over by a truck, we finally had the baby back in the seat with Rachel. This happened two more times during our ride, and for some reason, she always dropped her at the bottom of a hill and didn't tell me until I was at the top or midway. Why do I do things even when I know that it is going to be a bad idea?

  1. Oh my gosh...this just made me laugh! I totally do the same thing! (Not ride my bike with the kids holding them...but that's because I'm lazy and I have boys) but I totally give in to things that I know are a bad idea to begin with.
