Drum Roll!

We did it! Well, really Tyler did just about everything. He did a great job putting in the new floors, baseboards, and painting. It was a ton of work. The picture doesn't really show the colors very well. They are very distorted. They are deep colors though. I really like warm colors that make me feel cozy and comfortable. If I could design my own home, it would be craftsmen style and craftsmen colors. Tyler on the other hand is very modern and straight, hence all the squares, brush nickel, and straight lines throughout the room. Still, we are a fairly good team picking materials, decor, and colors. We simply make a lot of deals with each other. For example, I chose the wall colors and get to name our baby. In return, Tyler will get his 40 inch TV at some point and the fish stays in the office. It works perfectly for us.
We'll change out the rugs at some point too, but our budget for the living room and kitchen remodel is empty. It can certainly wait.
