New baby name!!!
Tyler named our baby boy months before we were even married. So, for him, naming this critter inside me was easy. He picked John Sherman Lloyd with the nickname Jack. I tried to love this name. I refered to my Grandama Sherman's picture for inspiration, and I even called the baby Sherman for a month. I just can't fall in love with the name. He is finally letting me change it. However, I do have two guidelines from him. (1) The first name stays John, and (2)he will be called by his middle name. It is tradition apparently. I have a name that I LOVE, but I am not announcing it until we pick it for sure. I've already confused Rachel to mcuh! :) So, if there were any of you refering to the baby as Sherman or Jack, STOP! I've got something better. You'll love it too.
I have to admit I'm slightly relieved. Not that it matters what I think. Can't wait to hear it!
ReplyDeleteThat's exciting. Haha... That's how I was with Kimberly, before Glen and I were even dating I had picked out what my first daughters name would be. So when we found out that we were having a girl we had her name, Kimberly Anne. She's named after my younger sister that passed away as a baby and my older sister Ann. Keep us updated on what the middle name will be :)
ReplyDeleteBrian informed me before we were even engaged that his first son would be named Cash Crux Nye. I didn't think much about it till we found out we were having a boy. But luckily Brian changed his mind and I got a little say so now it's Porter Cash Nye. I'm just happy we got rid of Crux! I'm so excited to hear what you guys decide!
ReplyDeleteJohn's family has the same tradition with 'John' as the first name blah, blah BLAH. ;) I hate it, but had to give in because it nearly caused divorce. lol Sooo... Carsen's first name is John. But when he turns 18 I plan on talking-him-into/forcing him to legally change it to Carsen John. We'll see. ;) Good luck with the baby naming! Can't wait to hear what you choose!
